The Tutor, Fiona Forbes, is a professional artist with many years’ teaching experience with adults and in secondary schools in Scotland.
She did a 4 year course in Decorative Design in the 1970’s at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, and began painting in watercolours after she qualified.
Her paintings, in all media, are vibrant and uplifting and she enjoys sharing her love of colour with like minded people.
She has spent most of her life living in different countries including Cyprus, Aden, Scotland, Wales, Norway, Germany and France and moved to Wiltshire in the South of England in 2009.
This wealth of interacting with different cultures, age groups, nationalities and personalities has been a major influence on her art and outlook on life.
She has been a member of the Society of Floral Painters and is in the Guild of Aviation Artists as well as several local Art Societies in and around Salisbury.
Wherever she has lived, she has organised and run art classes and exhibited widely in solo and shared exhibitions. She recently had a successful solo exhibition in the Fisherton Mill Gallery in Salisbury, where some of her paintings, prints and cards are now displayed and for sale.
She runs a weekly art club and does demonstrations and runs workshops locally for various art groups.

If you are arriving at a time that really doesn’t tie in with the group or arriving a day or so earlier we can arrange for a taxi to pick you up. The cost of a taxi is in the region of €150. If there is anybody else arriving doing the same we will arrange it so that you can share the transport costs.
Similarly for departure, for retreats the rooms are to be vacated by 10:00 on the morning of departure. Departure time will be set based on the majority of the group. Again we will do our very best to accommodate everyone.
