Inspiring Yoga to quiet your mind and connect to your Self

Course Details

La Dolce Vita is not just about delicious food and gorgeous surroundings (although we’ll have those on this retreat!), it’s also about looking inwards and creating meaning in your life. Join Bristol and Carrie for a week of inspiring yoga in breathtaking surroundings that will help you quiet your mind and connect to your Self. Our morning extended asana practice will be comprised of either an Ashtanga, Jivamukti or Flow Practice. This will be a chance to get your questions answered and dive deeply into your practice. The afternoon practice will consist of more meditative offerings, including Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, Yoga philosophy discussions and guided meditations.
We’ll also be enjoying our special surroundings and taking advantage of all of Italy’s gifts. We’ll be in the beautiful grounds of Hotel Leone, taking in the gorgeous views from their terraces, swimming in the pool and enjoying the impeccable service of this boutique hotel. The charming and picturesque restaurant offers mouthwatering food featuring local produce. We will also have the opportunity to visit a local vineyard and olive oil producer or take cooking classes.
Join us for this special week of yoga practice in the rolling hills of Le Marche!

About Bristol & Carrie

Bristol Maryott is an Advanced-Certified Jivamukti, KPJAY Level 1 Authorized and prenatal yoga instructor with over fifteen years of experience teaching yoga. Bristol’s practice and teaching is informed by the light and grace of her dear teachers. She is grateful for the tutelage of Jivamukti founders, Sharon Gannon and David Life, as well as senior Jivamukti teachers Lady Ruth & Yogeswari. Bristol also travels to India regularly where she loves to practice with Saraswathi Jois in Mysore. She also has completed an Ashtanga second series intensive with Manju Jois.

Bristol holds an MA in Art History from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London UK and graduated from Yale with a BA in English. She has worked at Sotheby’s in London and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Bristol believes that art and yoga are complimentary disciplines exploring consciousness. Bristol owns Jala Studio: Yoga & Art in Providence, RI, a space where yoga practitioners can both inspire and be inspired by art.

Carrie Cooper has enthusiastically embraced Ashtanga Yoga for the past 19 years. Carrie is known for her softer approach to Ashtanga, believing that both Intermediate and Primary series should be customized according to the individual student to maximize their benefit. She works with various modifications and teaches that ashtanga yoga can be a lifelong practice. She has done primary series teacher trainings with David Swenson and Manju Jois, Pattabhi Jois' son. Carrie is grateful to Kim Neitch, Kino MacGregor, Tim Feldman, Nancy Gilgoff, Tim Miller, Lino Miele, Scot Hendricks and Bobbi Misiti for all their workshops and shared technique and expertise. Carrie is from Canada and graduated from the University of Toronto. She became American in 2001. She loves living on Cape Cod, where she is fortunate to have many close friends.
